At Sierra Nevada Cares, we believe that access to medical equipment should not be a privilege—it should be a basic human right. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the healthcare gap by providing essential medical equipment to people who need it most.

Our Mission

To improve health outcomes and enhance quality of life by delivering new or gently used equipment and supplies to underserved populations—locally—regardless of their ability to pay.

Who We Serve

We support seniors in our Northern Nevada community when caring for loved ones at home that don’t have adequate resources. We partner with Sierra Nevada Home Health,  hospice agencies, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, hospitals, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to meet these needs.

What We Do

• Equipment Donation & Distribution: We collect, refurbish, and distribute medical equipment to ensure it reaches the hands of those who need it most.
• Sustainability & Education: We train recipients on proper use and maintenance, empowering communities with the knowledge to sustain care.
